Dee Roberts and the team at the King’s House Coffee Shop have asked KRA to pass on their sincere thanks to everyone who supported their fundraising event last Saturday. They would like to thank all those who kindly donated gifts, promises and talents and to everyone who came along and placed bids.
The organisers were pleased that despite the wet weather there was a good turnout, with residents from Knaphill and Brookwood coming along to help with the fundraising and to have some fun. There was a lively atmosphere and with the wide range of goods on offer the bidding was keen, keeping the auctioneer busy. By the half way point a break for a ‘Ploughman’s Supper’ was most welcome and gave renewed enthusiasm for the second session of bidding. All agreed it was a very enjoyable and successful evening.
The King’s House was able to raise a total of over one thousand pounds, and money is still coming in. All the proceeds will go to help the valuable work of the KHCS in the community.
Thank you again to all those who donated gifts and to everyone who attended to support the evening. Best wishes, from The King’s House Coffee Shop.
