Show FAQs

When is the Knaphill Village Show and where does it take place?

The Knaphill Village Show will take place on Saturday 20th July, 2019, at Mizens miature railway, Barrs Lane, GU21 2JW.

Who organises the show?

The Knaphill Residents Association established the show in 2009, and continue to organise the entire event, it along with a team of enthusiastic local volunteers.

Can I get involved?

We are always looking for new people to get involved, either planning or organising the event or on the day itself, lending a hand for an hour. We meet once a month from January to June, plus a few extra sessions in July as the event draws near. If you think you can help, please do drop us a line. Just an hour of your time could make a real difference.

Where can I park?

We do have parking on site, but due to the popular nature of the event, it often gets full. We would suggest you walk, if possible, from Knaphill village centre, as it’s less than a mile, mostly off road. The village is served by a number of bus routes, and also has free car parks. We organise a free minibus from the Vyne community centre as well.

Is there a park and ride?

Yes! And it’s FREE! The free minibus operates from the Vyne community centre (Broadway, GU21 2SP) and shuttles visitors back and forth throughout the afternoon. We suggest you park in the village itself and make your way there so you can avoid the traffic hassle.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, we welcome dogs. They must be kept on leads, and make sure you pick up after them. Also, be sure to check out the fun dog show, hosted by Oscar!

How much is it?

£2 per adult, £1 for seniors, and children go free. Pay in cash on the entrance gate.

Can I pay on card?

No, unfortunately not, we only take cash on the gate, and most of the stalls and rides are the same, so we suggest you bring cash with you to avoid disappointment. Stop at one of the cash points in the village on you walk down to the show!

Can I get something to eat there?

Of course! We have loads of stalls offering everything from a light snack to full meal, as well as soft, alcoholic and hot drinks.

Do you have toilets on site?

Yes, Mizens have toilets on site.

Do you have baby change facilities?

Yes, the NCT for the area are hosting a stall where you can change and feed your baby in peace.

Are you raising money for charity?

The Village Show is organised by the Knaphill Residents Association and we are a not-for-profit organisation, so when the show is very successful, any profit we make get donated to a local charity, agreed upon by the KRA. If you would like your charity to be considered, please do get in touch with us.
