As you’re probably aware, the street lights on side roads are switched off from midnight until 5am. From tonight (Friday 24th November 2017) those timings will be updated, and the street lighting will instead now be switched off between 1am and 5am.

This was decided, after a review of how it was working and with consideration of late night workers returning home.

All street lights on more main roads and routes, which currently remain on all night, will still stay on all night.
